Cade Lachapelle scored with 15 minutes remaining to ensure the Hampshire Regional boys soccer team a spot in the postseason.

The Raiders tied Southwick 1-1 on Tuesday to earn their 18th point. Hamsphire has two games left in an 18-game schedule.

Colin Boyle stopped six shots for Hampshire (8-4-2, 3-3-1 Holley).

Renaissance 3, Granby 2 โ€” Max Brown and Ryan Shaw found the net in a road loss.

Dylan Moriarty and Mitch Lโ€™Abbee added assists. Mike McGreevey made six saves for the Rams (0-15-1, 0-10-1 Schmid).

Smith Academy 1, Greenfield 0 โ€” Sam Dadmun received a long pass from Sam Dobson, cut back on a defender and beat the Green Wave keeper for the game winner with three and a half minutes left.

Ryan Belina made seven saves for the Falcons (5-10, 1-7 McGrath). It was the eighth graderโ€™s fourth shutout of the season.

Central 1, Frontier Regional 0 โ€” Peter Bronke made 11 saves, as the Red Hawks (8-6-2, 4-2-1 Moriarty) fell on the road.

South Hadley 5, Athol 0 โ€” Max McCurdy contributed a goal and two assists to a senior night win.

Liam Joy scored twice, while Tyler Evans and Jonas Clarke also found the net for the Tigers (12-2-2, 9-1-1 Schmid ).

Clayton Koppi stopped seven shots, and Xavier Butzer made two saves.

Belchertown 4, Northampton 0 โ€” Max Caron, Nathan Schiffer, Korey Houle and Joe Bianco all found the net in the first half.

Evan Walters-Zucco, Evan Fournier and Max Caron added assists for the Orioles (11-5-1, 6-1-1 Churchill).

McCann Tech 3, Smith Vocational 2 โ€” Colin Earle and Garvin Thomas found the net in a home loss.

Bruce Beilunis added an assist for the Vikings (6-7-1).

Girls soccer

South Hadley 5, Monson 0 โ€” Reese Carey put away four goals, two off corner kicks, in a home win. Teagan Gawron chipped in a goal and an assist.

Sydney Mericer, Lindsay Marjanski, Olivia Blaney and Maddie Doolittle added assists for the Tigers (15-0).

Bridget Sears made three saves.

Frontier 3, Athol 0 โ€” Natalie Denkiewicz scored and had two assists in a home win. Jessica Wrisley found the net twice. Cambrie Hamilton added an assist for the Red Hawks (9-5-2, 6-4-1 Pioneer North).

Siomara Green stopped two shots.

Field hockey

South Hadley 2, Belchertown 0 โ€” Olivia Wilson and Bella Yee scored for the Tigers (10-5-2).

Abbie Carey added an assist. Brooke Blair made one save in the first half, and Maddie Fontaine played the second half without facing a shot on goal.

Abigail Rothstein stopped 22 shots for Belchertown (9-3-2).

Girls volleyball

Frontier Regional 3, Agawam 0 โ€” Elizabeth Fuqua passed 20 assists with nine aces in a 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 home win.

Lauren Davenport put down 13 kills for the Red Hawks (17-2). Olivia Deane added six kills and nine digs.

Longmeadow 3, Amherst 2 โ€” Olivia Hogans fired 16 kills and eight aces to go along with four digs in a 25-20, 20-25, 20-25, 25-12, 15-6 loss.

Jen Hodgkins pulled up 42 digs with two kills and two aces.

Amanda Crowe-Chandler added 21 digs, while Nicole Lambert added 20 with three kills.

Tricia Sittauer chipped in nine kills and three aces.

Golfย 

WMass Division 3 Tournament โ€” Smith Academyโ€™s Daniel Cavanaugh shot an 86 competing as an individual, 15 strokes. The junior did not qualify for the state tournament after finishing seventh. The top five individuals advance if they arenโ€™t on qualifying teams. Cavanaugh missed the cut by three strokes.

Leeโ€™s Thomas Fraser won with an even-par 71. The Wildcats captured the team title at 349 strokes, and Monson finished second at 351.
