HATFIELD — A man robbed the People’s United Bank at knifepoint Wednesday at around 3:30 p.m., police said.
A large sum of money was stolen from the bank, located at 22A West St., West Hatfield, said Sgt. Clint Phillips. The suspect, a lone man, had already left the scene by the time that police arrived, Phillips said.
“As far as I know, he is still being searched for,” Phillips said of the suspect.
The incident is currently under investigation by the state police CPAC unit.
