The Amherst Regional boys soccer team qualified for the postseason with a 2-1 win over Minnechaug, Friday at home.

Brayan Rivas Martinez (assist) and Liam Carpenter-Shulman each scored for the Hurricanes (9-8, 1-6 Smith). Dylan Robson added an assist.

Matt Essig (five saves) and Lucas Morales-Fernandez (one) shared time in net for Amherst.

The Falcons (8-9-1) fell to 1-6-1 in the league.

South Hadley 1, Granby 0 โ€” Jonas Clarke scored in the 78th minute on an assist from Liam Joy as the Tigers (13-2-3, 10-1-1 Schmid) picked up a road win in their regular-season finale.

Clayton Koppi made four saves in the shutout.

Mike McGreevey had six stops for the Rams (0-16-1, 0-11-1).

Chicopee 4, Easthampton 1 โ€” Adam Johndrow scored from Mohamed Zabir to give the Eagles (13-2-1) the lead, but the host Pacers scored four straight.

Drew Caires made eight saves for the Eagles, who are 1-2-1 over their last four.

Hopkins Academy 2, Gateway 1 โ€” The Golden Hawks (9-6-1, 6-3-1 Schmid) jumped out behind goals from Addison Phifer and Bobby Klesch.

Liam Higgins and Gage Spanknebel each had one assist, while Jack Feltovic made six saves.

Ben Hyjek cut the deficit in half in the 38th minute of the second half for the Gators (5-11-1, 4-6-1). John Folley (four saves) and Preston Coffee (four saves) split time in net.

Belchertown 1, Monument 0 โ€” Owen Raines scored from Evan Fournier, and Chris Tilton made four saves as the Orioles (12-5-1) enter the postseason with the solid road win.

Hampshire 1, Pope Francis 1 โ€” Mike McColgan scored an unassisted goal and Colin Boyle made seven saves as the Raiders (8-4-3) earned the draw at home.

Agawam 2, Northampton 1 โ€” Justice Rogers scored from Tom Harte, but the Blue Devils (3-13-1) couldnโ€™t pull in a road win.

Jarrett Borer made 10 saves in the loss.

Chicopee Comp 1, Frontier Regional 0 โ€” Peter Bronke made nine saves, but the Red Hawks (8-7-2, 4-3-1 Moriarty) fell at home.

Pioneer Regional 4, Smith Academy 1 โ€” Nate Moynihan scored and Ryan Belina made 12 saves, but the Falcons (5-12) fell on the road.

Girls soccer

Greenfield 2, Smith Academy 0 โ€” Maddie Bell made two saves for the Falcons (7-9-1), who were eliminated from postseason contention.

The Green Wave (7-6-1) qualified for the postseason for the first time in 15 years.

Field hockey

South Hadley 6, Belchertown 0 โ€” The Tigers used the entire field in the second half and scored five goals to pull away at home.

Kayla Carleton (two goals), Corryn Moroney (goal, two assists) and Gabbi Moroney (two goals, assist) each had multiple points.

Olivia Wilson scored, while Savannah Sudyka and Bree Foley each had one assist.

Brooke Blair made three first-half saves. Maddie Fontaine stopped one after halftime.

Abigail Rothstein made 15 saves for Belchertown.

The Tigers and Orioles each finished the regular season 11-5-2. Field hockey seeds will be released Monday.

Girls volleyball

South Hadley 3, Belchertown 0 โ€” The Tigers (12-7) rolled past the Orioles (5-15) 25-11, 25-20, 25-8.

Aislinn Ford had seven kills and four digs, while Mia Kelly had four kills, six aces and 11 digs. Brooke Conner chipped in with nine assists.

It was the final game for Belchertown seniors Marissa Courchesne (three aces, five kills) and Isabel Vigneault (two kills).

Madison Sefton had four aces in defeat.

Central 3, Amherst 1 โ€” The Hurricanes (9-9) fell 25-15, 13-25, 25-17, 25-17 in their regular-season finale.

Amelia Beigel finished with 20 assists and 18 digs, while Jen Hodgkins had 22 digs. Nicole Lambert added 20 digs and Olivia Hogans eight kills.

Sci-Tech 3, Smith Vocational 1 โ€” Haleigh Pensivy had eight blocks, four digs, three assists and four kills, while Marissa Rodrigues added seven digs and four kills in the 25-22, 11-25, 15-25, 16-25 loss for the Vikings.

PrepsGirls volleyball

Suffield 3, Williston 2 โ€” Erin Chai, Tomi Akisanya, Chelsea Clark and Sarah Sullivan played well but the Wildcats fell at home.

Field hockey

Williston 4, Suffield 1 โ€” Maura Holden, Bryn Saarela, Sophia Jones and Maeve Reynolds scored, while Kira Bixby made five saves in the win.

Girls soccer

Williston 0, Suffield 0 โ€” Selena Negron played well in net as the Wildcats earned the draw.
