Like many in Massachusetts voters, I’m having a hard time deciding how to vote on Question 1. Both the “yes” and “no” positions seem to have merit: The nurses are likely understaffed, and Question 1 is likely not the optimal solution to the problem.
I’m deeply troubled that with all the time and money the health care establishment has spent pointing out the problems with Question 1, they haven’t offered up a better solution — or even committed to try to work with the nurses to develop one. That’s not in anyone’s best interest.
