The Amherst College men’s basketball team led by nearly 30 points at halftime en route to a 98-59 blowout of Anna Maria, Wednesday in Paxton.
Garrett Day led the Mammoths with 21 points off the bench. Day shot 8 of 12 from the floor, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range.
Joseph Schneider added 12 points and Grant Robinson 11 for Amherst (4-0).
Springfield 59, Smith 52 — The Pride (3-3, 1-0 NEWMAC) trailed by eight at halftime, but rallied for the win in Northampton.
Kennedy Guest-Pritchett had 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Lauren Bondi added 14 pints for the Pioneers (4-2, 0-1).
Coast Guard 101, Mount Holyoke 41 — Annika Brooks had 15 points, but the Lyons (0-7) fell on the road.
Mount Holyoke has lost 52 straight games.
