Smith College jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead en route to a 71-61 basketball victory over Clark, Wednesday in Northampton.
The Pioneers led 42-27 at the break as they improved to 6-2 overall, 2-1 in the NEWMAC.
Kennedy Guest-Pritchett scored a game-high 31 points and added a game-high 18 rebounds for Smith.
Lauren Bondi added 18 points, while freshman Katelyn Pickunka (Westhampton) had 14 points off the bench.
Sam OโGara led the Cougars with 16 points. Senior Maya Kerstetter (Northampton) had six points for Clark (3-5, 0-2).
Springfield 86, Mount Holyoke 30 โ Annika Brooks had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Lyons (0-9, 0-3 NEWMAC).
Trinity 69, Springfield 52 โ Jake Ross (Northampton) had 14 points and seven rebounds but the Pride (2-4) fell on the road.
Marianapolis 59, Williston 49 โ Tyler Thomas had 19 points, Solomon Neuhaus had nine, and Nick Heafey (Northampton) and Andre Washington each had six, but the Wildcats fell on the road.
Williston 43, St. Markโs 42 โ Sarah Sullivan hit a layup with 15 seconds left to give the Wildcats a three-point lead as they held on in Easthampton.
Sullivan finished with 21 points, while Christina Negron added seven.
