The Amherst College men’s basketball team exploded in the second half to rout Lasell, 91-64, Saturday at LeFrak Gymnasium.

The Mammoths scored 53 second-half points to pull away from a three-point halftime lead.

Eric Sellew had 15 points and seven rebounds, while Dylan Goff had 13 points off the bench for Amherst.

Grant Robinson (12 points) and Joseph Schneider (10) also reached double figures.

Williams 75, Springfield 71 — Jake Ross (Northampton) had 24 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals but the Pride (2-5) fell to the No. 2 Ephs (9-0), Saturday at home.

Women’s basketball

Emerson 86, Smith 77 — Lauren Bondi had 30 points, while Kennedy Guest-Pritchett added 12 points and nine rebounds for the visiting Pioneers (6-3, 2-2 NEWMAC), Saturday.

Wheaton 104, Mount Holyoke 41 — Annika Brooks had 21 points and nine rebounds for the host Lyons (0-10), Saturday. Mikayla McEwen (South Hadley) added nine points and five rebounds.

Men’s ice hockey

Amherst 3, Middlebury 3 (OT) — Jack Fitzgerald pulled the Mammoths within 3-2 and P.J. Conlon scored late to tie as Amherst (3-3-2, 1-2-2 NESCAC) pulled out a point on the road, Saturday.

Women’s ice hockey

Oswego State 2, Amherst 1 — Katelyn Pantera made it 1-1 in the second, but the Mammoths (2-4-1) fell at home, Saturday.

Wrestling

Southern Maine 26, RIC 18 — Senior Brendan Weir (Easthampton) posted a 10-8 victory over Zach Ford at 165 pounds to lead USM (2-0) on the road, Saturday.

Women’s swimming & diving

Middlebury 155.5, Springfield 144.5 — Sierra Skaza (Belchertown) won 1-meter diving (269.4 points) and 3-meter (283.05) to qualify for nationals in both events, Saturday in Springfield.

Men’s swimming & diving

Middlebury 156, Springfield 138 — Andy Endress (Belchertown) swam on the winning 200 medley relay (1:39.2) and placed third in the 50 butterfly (24.98) for the Pride.

Women’s indoor track

RIC Invitational — Hannah Gershone took second with a personal-best indoor time of 19:40.43 in the 5,000 meters for Mount Holyoke, Saturday.
