Cottage Street pot shop: What are you smoking?

I have just read in the Gazette that a pot shop is planned for Cottage Street in Easthampton. 

I am certainly not against a pot shop elsewhere in Easthampton, but Cottage Street? Are you serious? To Easthampton city officials, let me ask, are you insane to have even considered approving this? Are you aware of the lines of people and parking issues resulting from NETA in Northampton?

The normal traffic in Easthampton through the city at certain times a day is already congested. Do we need more vehicles circling round and round looking for parking? Our parking is already limited and it’s often difficult to find a parking place in town to go to local businesses.

Where do you think all these people are going to park? A person wanting to patronize other local businesses will never find a parking place again. Will sidewalk congestion hamper normal foot traffic and cause issues for businesses?

I cannot believe this seems to already be a done deal and city officials seem to be concerned only about how to handle the lines of people. What are you all thinking? Have you been smoking too much of the herb?
