How wonderful that the Northampton DPW was able to complete its three-month renovation of Wright Avenue just in time for it to become a narrow, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven-days-a-week pot shop parking lot!
Does the term “traffic impact study” still ring any bells, twitch any neurons with the licensing honchos? (Think: Warped Tour a few years back?) Also, any thought yet as to what happens soon to Pleasant Street, Fulton Avenue, Conz Street, Wright Avenue, Hockanum Road, etc. when there is a no-parking snow emergency?
Oh well, let’s look for that proverbial silver lining behind this very dark cloud, I guess: Lower property values surely leading to lower taxes.
Hope that the Gazette, if it hasn’t already done so, is standing by with those ubiquitous orange traffic cones to barricade that fairly large, delicious and inviting parking lot as every other business in that neighborhood has, of dire necessity, had to.
