Nor Young placed 11th to lead the Amherst Regional boys Nordic ski team in its first meet of the season, Monday morning.
Young finished the 5-kilometer course in 14 minutes, 51 seconds.
Amherst was fourth among six teams at the Berkshire Nordic Ski League meet at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vermont.
The Hurricanes finished with 77 points. Mount Greylock was first with 16. Lenox was second (34) and Hoosac Valley third (55).
The Amherst girls finished sixth with 118 points. Mount Greylock won with 20.
Amherst 57, Redlands 49 — Hannah Fox had 18 points and nine rebounds, while Madeline Eck added 12 points as the Mammoths (9-1) won in Orange, California.
Cam Hendricks chipped in with 10 points. Meghan Sullivan (Granby) started and finished with five points and two rebounds.
Endicott 6, Amherst College 2 — Patrick Daly tallied a goal and an assist in a road loss. Joey Lupo found the net, while A.J. Klein, Mark Esposito and Phil Johansson all added assists for the Mammoths (3-4-2). Giancarlo Ventre made 26 saves.
