Drew Caires blocked a potential game-tying 3-pointer into the bleachers as time expired, and the Easthampton boys basketball team beat East Longmeadow, 53-50, Friday at home.
The Eagles (6-1) rallied from an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit and held on late to beat the Spartans (2-6).
Gabe Colenback made a late 3, Sam Colenback drove to the basket a couple times and Ronan Motton went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch to key the rally.
Mottor finished with 22 points. Jack Bacis and Caires each had nine points.
Sci-Tech 58, Northampton 45 — Anthony DeJesus hit two 3s and scored 14 points in a road loss.
Jaeden Johndrow added 13 points, while McCarthy had 10 for the Blue Devils (4-3).
Williston 65, Berkshire 58 — Tyler Thomas scored 24 points in a home win. John Kelly had 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Abood Abuisa added 10 points for the Wildcats.
Hopkins Academy 73, Belchertown 71 — The Golden Hawks rained 10 3s in a home victory. Freshman Andrew Ciaglo hit five of them for a career-high 30 points. Addison Phifer splashed three 3s and scored 15. Caleb Graves also had 15 points for Hopkins (4-3).
Corey Lanoue led Belchertown (2-5) with 19 points. James Lawless scored 17, and Jordan Lanoue added 11. Nathan Wright chipped in 13.
The Golden Hawks erased an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
Minnechaug 54, Northampton 40 — Amanda Mieczkowski drained three 3s and scored 12 points, but the Blue Devils lost their first game of the season.
Kolbie Jones added nine.
Northampton (5-1) hit eight 3s and led 13-8 after the first quarter.
Granby 32, Ludlow 23 — Julia Gauvin scored a career-high 10 points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds in a road win.
Nora Young added 11 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks for the Rams (2-3).
Hampshire Regional 66, Amherst Regional 55 — Maddie Pond scored 23 points and had 10 rebounds in a home win.
Maggie Rubeck added 19 points for the Raiders (3-3), while Lila Labrie had eight.
Delaney MacPhetres had 25 points for the Hurricanes (2-3). Mayouri Yath had 11 points and Erin Klaes added nine.
Belchertown 46, Monson 39 — Elise Pikul made six free throws down the stretch to seal a win over the defending Division 4 Western Massachusetts champions.
“Nothing hit the rim, all swishes,” Belchertown coach Jay Woodcock said.
Pikul scored 19 points and made five steals.
Emma LeBlanc and Jenna Birks had seven points each.
Meredith Medina grabbed five rebounds in the fourth quarter off the bench.
Greenfield 67, Hopkins Academy 41 — Samantha Jenks scored 17 points in a road loss.
A.J. Mitchell added eight points, while Thea Hanscom grabbed eight rebounds for the Golden Hawks (6-3, 1-2 Franklin North).
South Hadley 50, Palmer 32 — Mia Kelly scored 16 points in a home victory and hit two 3s. Bella Earle added 11 points, while Teagan Gawron chipped in eight for the Tigers (3-3).
Gateway Regional 36, Smith Vocational 25 — Becca Herman had 15 points as the Gators (3-3, 2-0 Tri-County South) won at home.
Ella Sherman had eight points to pace the Vikings (2-4, 0-1).
