Jaeden Johndrow amassed 17 points and nine rebounds, as the Northampton boys basketball team beat Westfield 52-35 on the road Monday.
Mike McCarthy and Jacob Cancel both added seven points. The Blue Devils (5-3) led 29-14 after the first half. No Westfield player reached double-digit scoring.
Dillon Diemand hit two 3s for six points.
Mohawk 55, Smith Academy 50 — Brett Gratz poured in 31 points, but it was not enough for the Falcons. Jack Zigmont also reached double figures for the Smith Academy (3-5, 1-1 Hampshire North) with 10 points.
Frontier 52, Athol 28 — Carsten Carey scored 20 points, as the Red Hawks won at home. Peter Carey added eight points, and Alex Sharp scored six for Frontier (6-1, 3-0 Hampshire North).
Granby 67, Renaissance 55 — Ryan Murdock set a career high with 34 points to lead the Rams (5-3, 1-2 Bi-County West) to the home victory. Murdock hit five of the Rams’ eight 3-pointers and added three assists and three steals to go along with five rebounds. Carrick Remillard had seven points.
Hampshire Regional 55, Ludlow 44 (OT) — Oliver Roberts grabbed an offensive rebound and canned a game-tying 3-pointer at the regulation buzzer. He scored 12 points, as the Raiders won on the road. Colin Boyle had a career-high 12 points for Hampshire (2-6, 1-1 Bi-County East). Dominic Lewinski added seven points.
Turners Falls 71, Hopkins Academy 59 — Andrew Ciaglo powered the Golden Hawks with 20 points in a loss. Caleb Graves and Addison Phifer chipped in 12 points each for Hopkins (5-4, 2-1 Hampshire South).
Minnechaug 54, Amherst 40 — Steven Steele scored 12 points, and Taylen Pope had 10, as the Hurricanes (1-7) fell on the road.
Pathfinder 48, Gateway 35 — Dylan Lafreniere, Evan Cortis and eighth-grader Jayden Santiago-Lopez each scored 11 points in a road loss.
Drury 76, Belchertown 42 — Corey Lanoue and Nate Wright both scored nine points, but the Orioles (0-3) couldn’t keep the pace.
Easthampton 62, Duggan 46 — Val Murphy produced 22 points, 18 rebounds and six blocks in the Eagles’ second straight win. Emma Downer added 21 points, while Sofia Massa chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds.
Abbey Coleman had nine rebounds and five steals for Easthampton (2-4).
South Hadley 6, Enfield 3 — Ben Watkins tallied two goals and two assists in a home win.
Ryan Tucker found the net twice, while Thenis Tsilibocos and Will Ortyl had two assists each. Sean Doherty scored and had an assist. Matthew Brunelle added a goal, and Michael Mazza added an assist for the Tigers (6-2).
Anthony Cigal stopped 20 shots.
