Frontier Regional student Bryan Baumann capped a two-goal comeback for the Greenfield hockey team on Saturday, scoring with 5 minutes, 10 seconds left to clinch a 3-2 win at Fitzpatrick Skating Rink in Holyoke. It was his second goal of the game.

He also assisted on Doug Hanieskiโ€™s goal in the second period that tied the game at 2. Sean Oโ€™Sullivan had the other assist and assisted Baumann with the winner.

Baumann put the Green Wave on the board in the second period from Hanieski.

South Hadley (7-3) led 2-0 in the second period after Thenis Tsilibocos found the net from Matthew Brunelle and Kayden Laramee.

Mike Mazza opened the scoring unassisted.

โ€œWe didnโ€™t get enough shots,โ€ South Hadley coach Larry Camus said.

Anthony Cigal stopped 34 shots for the Tigers. Riley Drew made 12 saves for Greenfield (7-0-2).

Amherst 3, Easthampton 0 โ€” Christ Foster and Kouji Ishida both tallied a goal and an assist each in a road win Saturday.

Nick Foster found the net, while Jayden Blackburn added an assist for the undefeated Hurricanes (9-0).

Tyler Cortis stopped 35 shots for Easthampton.

Belchertown 5, Drury 3 โ€” Matthew Pacheco had a goal and two assists, as the Orioles won at home Saturday.

Chris Buffone scored twice, while Vaughn Gillen added a goal and an assist. Frances Nigro, Andrew Mugford and Andrew Fijal picked up two assists each. Colby Masse found the net for the Orioles (7-1-2, 5-0-1 Wright).

Easthampton 7, Southwick 3 โ€” Matt Sullivan contributed three assists to the Eaglesโ€™ Sunday win.

Jacob Ross scored with an assist, and John Zatowski had two goals.

Garren Fugiel and Mike McColgan found the net, while Jake Batchelder and Tyler Darling had assists for Easthampton (6-5).

Taconic Invitational โ€” Northampton placed second as a team with 12 points Saturday. Hampden Charter won the team title at 20.

Noah Brink won the 138-pound title for the Blue Devils, beating Pittsfieldโ€™s Zach Mathes 19-6.

Hampshire Regionalโ€™s Michael Baldwin beat Hampden Charterโ€™s Tyreece Cherival 10-5 to win the 160-pound title.

Smith Vocationalโ€™s Zach Hall pinned Xavier Chartier in 3 minutes, 2 seconds to win the title at 220 pounds.

Northamptonโ€™s Maddox MacPherson placed second at 120 pounds after Sabisโ€™ Christian Rivas pinned him in 3:34 of the championship match.

Smith Vocationalโ€™s James Biddulpe whas second at 170 pounds after losing 6-1 to Mason Biagini in the title match.

Hampshireโ€™s Kobe Clifford was second at 182 pounds after Taconicโ€™s Dylan Burke beat him 13-5 in the final.
