AMHERST — Constituents in Amherst, Pelham and Precinct 1 in Granby are welcome to provide advice to state Rep. Mindy Domb, D-Amherst, about bills she should co-sponsor.
Domb said she intends to co-sponsor legislation that reflects positions she discussed during the 2018 election, including bills that invest in public education, respond to food insecurity, protect the environment, improve access to health care, increase public transit and protect reproductive rights, LGBT rights and worker rights.
“Part of my job is to amplify the expertise and experiences of my constituents and bring that to the Statehouse and to my actions there,” Domb said.
Legislators have until Feb. 1 to co-sponsor bills that have been introduced. Domb hopes to hear from her constituents by Wednesday.
Those in her district can suggest bills for Domb’s co-sponsorship by filling out an online form at https://goo.gl/forms/VhYTUQMV1Dn1Bwi82, by emailing Katie O’Leary, Domb’s legislative aide, at Kaitlin.OLeary@mahouse.gov, or by submitting the suggestion in person at Domb’s office hours Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Amherst Senior Center in the Bangs Community Center, 70 Boltwood Walk in Amherst.
