For the second time in less than a month, the Greenfield hockey team added a name to its 100-point banner Friday night.
Junior forward Bryan Baumann, a Frontier Regional student, recorded a hat trick and added three assists, as his six-point night got him to 100 during the Green Waveโs 8-1 win over Gardner at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield.
Baumann, who joined Doug Hanieski as Greenfield players in the century club, achieved the feat 6 minutes, 18 seconds into the third period. He took a feed from Kyle Barnes and finished off his hat trick for career point No. 100.
โBryan, only a junior, being able to do that is something thatโs really special,โ Greenfield head coach Adam Bouchard said. โBryanโs the kid at practice working just as hard as he is in games. That truly shows in his game. You can tell he puts the work in.โ
Baumann recorded three points in the first period, two in the second and added the tally in the third.
Greenfield (10-1-2) stormed out to a 3-0 lead after one period, doubled the lead after two frames and put things away in the third. Adam Savoy, Mike McGoldrick, Barnes, Aidan Roche and Jacob Bryant all found the back of the net. Barnes added three assists, Roche had two, Bryant had one and Will Averill also notched a helper.
