Meghan Sullivan recorded a double-double as the Amherst College women’s basketball team beat Tufts, 50-40, Friday in Medford.
The Granby native had a team-high 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Mammoths (18-2, 5-1 NESCAC).
Madeline Eck had 10 points and five rebounds. Cam Hendricks and Hannah Fox each scored eight points.
Amherst 85, Tufts 55 — Three starters reached double figures, while two reserves did the same as the Mammoths (16-3, 4-2 NESCAC) rolled at LeFrak Gymnasium.
Joseph Schneider (15 points), Eric Sellew (13) and Grant Robinson (12) started, while Garrett Day (14) and C.J. Bachmann (14, 11 rebounds) came off the bench.
Amherst 3, Bowdoin 0 — John Festa and Phil Johansson scored in the first period, and Joey Lupo added an empty-netter as the Mammoths (9-6-3, 6-4-3 NESCAC) won on the road.
