Hampshire Regional grad Kately Pickunka had 10 points and seven rebounds of the bench for the Pioneers (17-5, 10-3 NEWMAC), who have won seven in a row. Smith trails Springfield College by a half game in the NEWMAC standings as the regular season winds down.

Smith held Wheaton to 26.8 percent shooting and outrebounded them 53-21.

Amherst 53, Bates 43 โ€” Madeline Eck scored 20 points with seven rebounds and three assists on the road Saturday.

Cam Hendricks added 12 points. Granbyโ€™s Meghan Sullivan had five points with three steals.

MIT 63, Mount Holyoke 33 โ€” Kaitlyn Grover scored 12, while Annika Brooks put up nine points and 13 rebounds in a road loss Saturday.

UMass at Richmond 62, UMass 58 โ€” Vashnie Perry had 11 points, while Destiney Philoxy scored 10 with four assists in a home loss Sunday.

The Minutewomen (11-11, 3-5 A-10) trailed by nine entering the fourth quarter but gave themselves a chance with a late rally.

Amherst 2, Colby 2 โ€” A.J. Klein had two assists, while Jack Fitzgerald and Sean Wrenn scored in the first period of a Saturday tie.

Pieter von Steinbergs and Joey Lupo also had assists for the Mammoths (9-6-4, 6-4-4 NESCAC).

Giancarlo Ventre made 27 saves.

Amherst 75, Bates 64 โ€” Grant Robinson scored 17 points with nine rebounds and four assists in a home win Saturday.

Garrett Day scored 12, while Fru Che aded 10 points off the bench for the Mammoths (17-3, 5-2 NESCAC).

Plattsburgh St 5, Amherst 3 โ€” Stephanie Nomicos, Katelyn Pantera and Jamie McNamara found the net in a Saturday loss.

Katie Savage, Sarah Wagner and Elizabeth Holubiak added assists. Caitlin Walker made 35 saves for Amherst (9-9-2).
