Nora Young was close to a triple-double as the Granby girls basketball team beat Sabis, 61-43, Thursday to qualify for the Western Massachusetts Division 3 Tournament

Young scored 20 points with 10 rebounds and six assists, as the Rams clinched second place in the Central League at 5-2. Granby closes its season at home against Palmer on Tuesday.

Kaeleigh Croteau hit a 3 and scored 11 points. Julia Frappier added seven points and 11 rebounds for the Rams (9-10, 5-2 Central).

They pulled away with 25 points in the fourth quarter.

Smith Academy 38, Easthampton 29 โ€” Karlie Guimond scored 13 points with three 3s and 10 rebounds in a home win.

Emma Kelly added 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Erin Gilrein had five points, six rebounds and six steals for Smith Academy (11-8, 3-4 Franklin West).

Emma Downer made five 3s and had 16 points to lead Easthampton (3-14, 1-7).

Amherst Regional 64, Palmer 21 โ€” Erin Klaes scored 17 points on four 3s in a road win.

Delaney MacPhetres added 10 points, while Petua Mukimba had nine for the Hurricanes (8-10, 5-3 Central).

Amherst has two paths to the postseason after wrapping its league schedule in third. It can win its final two games against Baystate Academy and Frontier Regional to get to .500. Or Granby has to lose against Palmer to bring Amherst into a tie for second in the league.

Belchertown 52, Ludlow 22 โ€” Elise Pikul scored 14 points, as the Orioles gave themselves a chance at the postseason.

They need to win at Hampshire Regional on Tuesday at 7 p.m. to move into a tie for second place in the Suburban League.

Jenna Birks added 13 points for Belchertown (8-11, 4-3 Suburban).

Agawam 52, Hampshire Regional 43 โ€” The Raiders were within 36-34 entering the fourth quarter, but the Brownies (10-10, 5-3 Suburban) pulled away to qualify for the postseason in their regular-season finale.

Hampshire (9-10, 3-4) enters its final regular season game against Belchertown (8-11, 4-3) needing a win to qualify. If the Orioles win on Tuesday in Westhampton, they finish second in the league and qualify.

Lila Labrie had 14 points and Maggie Rubeck added 12 in the loss.

West Springfield 52, Northampton 44 โ€” The Blue Devils (15-4, 4-3 Valley League) were tied with the Terriers (9-8, 3-4) with two minutes left, but West Side went on a game-closing 10-2 run at home.

Amanda Mieczkowski led Hamp with 19 points, while Lauren McGrath and Kolbie Jones each had 10.

Angela Czeremcha had 29 points for West Side.

Hampden Charter 38, Smith Vocational 20 โ€” Sydney Cyr hit a 3 and scored 10 points in a home loss for the Vikings (6-13, 3-6 Tri-County South).

Gateway Regional 38, St. Maryโ€™s 22 โ€” Becca Herman scored 16 points, as the Gators clinched the Tri-County South title outright with a road win. It was their fifth victory in a row.

Peyton Bucko hit two 3s and added 10 points for Gateway (14-5, 10-0).

Greenfield 75, Hopkins Academy 50 โ€” Samantha Jenks scored 16 points in a senior night loss.

Allison Kowal-Safron scored nine points on two 3s, while Kasey Earle and A.J. Mitchell (15 rebounds) both added eight for the Golden Hawks (13-6, 3-4 Franklin North).
