William Gunn placed fifth at 182 pounds for Williston at the NEPSAC Wrestling Championships, Saturday at Green Farms Academy in Westport, Connecticut.

Williston finished 32nd out of 44 teams.

Gunn pinned Tristen Lynch, of Wilbraham & Monson, in 1 minute, 45 seconds in his first match.

After a loss in the quarterfinals, Gunn beat George Athanasiadis (Landmark School), 10-1, and Scott Lewis (The Hotchkiss School), 6-4, to stay alive.

Following a second loss, Gunn beat Owen Brine, of Portsmouth Abbey, by forfeit to place fifth.

Boys basketball

Williston 83, Suffield 71 — Tyler Thomas had 32 points and eight rebounds, while John Kelly added 23 for the Wildcats (11-3), Saturday in Easthampton.

Girls basketball

Cheshire 47, Williston 42 — Cristina Negron (Easthampton) finished with four 3-pointers and 18 points, while Sarah Sullivan and Jordyn Meunier each had seven for the Wildcats, Saturday.

Girls hockey

Williston 4, Loomis Chaffee 2 — Kate McDermott scored twice, while Maura Holden and Kate Holmes each had a goal and an assist for the Wildcats, Saturday at Lossone Rink.

Natalie Scott played well in goal for Williston.

Boys squash

Loomis Chaffee 4, Williston 3 — Joey Robbins, Vishnu Sekar and Finlay MacDonald won their matches, but the Wildcats fell at home, Saturday.
