HADLEY — Outstanding graduates of Hopkins Academy are being sought for recognition by the Edward Hopkins Educational Foundation.
Five years after the foundation honored several alumni during the 350th anniversary of the school, Judy Pelis, a member of the association, said the goal is to honor several more accomplished individuals this spring.
Honorees will be given a certificate during a reception on May 25, likely at Hopkins Academy or at the gazebo at Hopkins Memorial Park outside the school.
An application committee will decide who is recognized and how many will be honored, and will then send out invitations to honorees and their families.
The website has criteria for the award, including being an alumnus of Hopkins Academy, living or deceased, and demonstrating a variety of excellent service over a period of time to the school or to the community, state or nation.
Nomination forms, which are due April 1, must include the name, telephone number and email address for the nominator, along with the name of the nominee, the nominee’s class, if known and supporting information and credentials. Submissions are confidential and nominees are to not be informed in advance.
All information should be sent to Edward Hopkins Educational Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 664, Hadley, 01035.
Forms are also available at https://edwardhopkinseducationalfoundation.com/alumni-recognition or at Town Hall, Hopkins Academy, Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery and the North Hadley Sugar Shack.
