Amherst College’s Lindsey Ruderman was right at home at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Durham, North Carolina, native won the women’s 3-meter national championship Wednesday in Greensboro, North Carolina. She scored 498.45 points.

Belchertown’s Sierra Skaza placed seventh (453.7) for Springfield College.

Scott Romeyn earned All-American honors for Amherst after finishing sixth in the 50-yard freestyle in 20.1 seconds. He touched right behind Williston grad David Fitch, who placed fifth for Kenyon (20.08).

Amherst’s 200 medley relay team of Ang Li, Sean Mebust, Jack Koravos and Romeyn was 10th (1:29.93).

Natalie Rumpelt placed 12th in the women’s 500 freestyle in 4:57.27.

Women’s lacrosse

Mount Holyoke 19, Salve Regina 7 — Caroline Flynn tallied four goals and five assists in a home win.

Northampton grad Abby Baldwin added two goals and four assists. Fellow former Blue Devil Hailey Subocz found a net for the Lyons (4-2).

Deyscha Smith (assist) and Allie Brown had hat tricks. Julianna Rankin added two goals and an assist. Mazzie Meotti and Julia Klein both found the net and added an assist.

Mia Wysocki made six saves, and Sophia Brooks-Randall stopped three shots.

Worcester State 7, Smith 6 — The Lancers scored the game’s final three goals to pull out a home win.

The Pioneers (5-1) had the previous five goals to open the second half and build a 6-4 lead. Maddie Ryan had two goals and an assist.

Northampton grad Emily Biggs scored two goals, while Bryn Murray added two assists.

Alyssa Schams made eight saves.

Softball

Boston University 3, UMass 1 — Kaycee Carbone hit an RBI single in the third inning, scoring Erin Stacevic and giving the Minutewomen the lead.

The Terriers tied it in the bottom half of the inning, and Aliyah Huerta-Leipner hit a two-run double in the sixth to provide the game-winner.

Kiara Oliver struck out 10 for the Minutewomen (10-13), allowing six hits and one walk.
