Northampton graduate Abby Baldwin amassed five goals and two assists, as the Mount Holyoke women’s lacrosse team beat Eastern Connecticut State, 20-4, on Wednesday in South Hadley.
Fellow Blue Devil grad Haley Subocz added a goal.
Deyscha Smith scored three goals with five assists, while Caroline Flynn had four goals and two assists for the Lyons (5-3). Mazzie Meotti found the net twice with an assist, and Meryl Phair scored a goal and added an assist.
Amherst 17, Westfield State 3 – Claire Dunbar scored five times and added an assist for the Mammoths (6-1). Hannah Fox had a hat trick and an assist.
Rebecca Wistreich, Marina Bevacqua and Hannah Gustafson each scored twice, while Maia Noyes had a goal and an assist.
The victory was the 300th of Amherst coach Chris Paradis’ career.
New England 19, RIC 8 — Tara Bainbridge (South Hadley) had eight goals and three assists as the Pilgrims (4-1) won at home.
WPI 6, Amherst 1; Amherst 3, WPI 2 — Alyson Plaman hit a walk-off single in Game 2, scoring Ronnie Falasco (two hits) for the winning run. Kyra Naftel and Sage Innerarity (three hits) also drove in a run each for the Mammoths (9-3).
In Game 1, Kate Kopatic had two hits and an RBI, while Sammy Salustri singled twice.
UMass 8, Boston College 3 — Kaitlyn Stavinhoa (two runs, triple), Kaycee Carbone and Melissa Garcia (double) each had a hit and two RBIs. Kiara Oliver struck out nine for the Minutewomen (13-13).
