Elise Pikul was the difference for the Belchertown girls lacrosse team.
Pikul scored four goals with one assist as the Orioles opened the season with a 12-8 win over host South Hadley, Friday.
Erin Lucas added three goals.
Katherine Wrona (two), Hannah Mitus, Lauren Pope and Kelsey Reardon added the other Belchertown goals. Amber Mattingly added an assist.
The Tigers were led by Breann Foley and Bridget Sears with three goals apiece.
Hannah Bisson and Abigail Hartley also scored. Bisson also added two assists with Hartley, Emilee Sowers and Taylor Jackson coming in with one assist each.
Alyson Cote had eight saves for South Hadley.
