HADLEY — A candidates forum for those seeking elective office at the April 9 town election begins at Hopkins Academy at 6:30 tonight.
Sponsored by the Hadley Mothers’ Club, the event starts with a meet-and-greet, followed by presentations and a question-and-answer session at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served.
Among those invited to take part are those running for a five-year seat on the Planning Board, incumbent John S. Mieczkowski Sr., of Sunrise Drive, and write-in candidate Mark Dunn of Highland Circle.
Mieczkowski is also running for a three-year position on the Select Board against incumbents David J. Fill II, of Knightly Road, and John C. Waskiewicz II, of East Street.
Other candidates in uncontested elections who are eligible to take part include Richard S. Grader for a three-year seat on the Board of Assessors, Gregory M. Mish for a three-year seat on the Board of Health, Heather S. Klesch for a three-year seat on the School Committee, Randall E. Izer for moderator for one year, Sheila M. Konieczny for a one-year position as Elector Under the Oliver Smith Will, Diane M. Kieras-Ciolkos for a three-year seat on the Park Commission, Jessica V. Spanknebel for a three-year term as town clerk, David S. Moskin and Meghan L. Campbell for library trustees for three years, Richard J. Witkos for Housing Authority for two years and William R. Banack and Richard T. Downie for three-year terms as constables.
