The Amherst Regional boys tennis team opened the season with a 5-0 road win over Agawam on Tuesday.

Austin Xiong beat Jack Frogameni in straight sets at No. 2 singles, while the Hurricanes’ top doubles team of Ethan Yu and Marcos Sorarello bested James Chenevert and Christian Fisk in straight sets.

James Serhant won 6-0, 6-2 over Zack Quick at No. 1 singles.

At No. 3 singles, Aengus Cox topped Dan Kang 6-0, 6-1.

Siddu Sitarman and Rohan Shenoy beat Prem Patel and Eric Nesen 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
