Abby Baldwin (Florence) had five goals, while Julianna Rankin had four goals and three assists as the Mount Holyoke lacrosse team beat Emerson, 21-3, in Boston on Wednesday.

Deyscha Smith (two assists) also scored four goals, while Caroline Flynn and Reina Torrez-Miner had three goals apiece.

Haley Subocz (Northampton) had two assists for the Lyons (8-6, 3-3 NEWMAC).

Springfield 14, Smith 7 — Kate Sarnacki (Granby) had four goals and five assists as the Pride (6-6, 2-2 NEWMAC) won in Northampton.

Chloe Harris and Emily Biggs (Florence) had two goals apiece for the Pioneers (7-6, 1-4).

Southern Maine 24, New England College 18 — Tara Bainbridge (South Hadley) broke her own school record for points in a game with 13 and tied her own school record for goals in a game with 10 but the Pilgrims (7-4) fell at home.

Baseball

Amherst 5, Elms 1 — Nick Nardone had two hits, while Stephen Burke and Chase Henley each scored twice as the Mammoths (12-7) won at home.

Andrew Serio (Northampton) and Kevin Banas (Hatfield) each walked for the Blazers (3-17).

Softball

Central Connecticut 6, UMass 4 — Melissa Garcia (RBI, run) had two hits, but the Minutewomen (18-15) couldn’t take advantage of eight walks and eight hits, and left 11 on base on the loss at Sortino Field.
