Hannah Wodecki hit a two-run homer during a six-run fifth inning, as the Hampshire Regional softball team beat Northampton 8-3 on the road Wednesday. Brooke Kavanaugh doubled and drove in two runs for the Raiders.
Hannah Rubeck added three hits, while Katelyn Baker had two (double) and an RBI for the Raiders (4-0, 3-0 Valley Wheel).
Emily Halket allowed just three hits and a walk in the win.
Emilia Pelis and Marissa Badorini (RBI) had two hits and each doubled for Northampton (3-3, 2-2).
Frontier Regional 12, Ludlow 0 (5) — Olivia Deane and Natalie Denkievicz combined for a no-hitter for the Red Hawks. Deane picked up the win, allowing just three walks with three strikeouts in four innings. Denkievicz walked one and struck out one in the fifth.
Charlotte Doulette hammered a home run, finishing with four RBIs, three runs scored and two hits. Lily Spencer hit an RBI double for Frontier (3-0).
Olivia Vecellio singled twice and scored two runs, while Mandy Fuller added a hit and two RBIs.
Turners Falls 13, Belchertown 0 (5) — Danae Weldon singled for the Orioles only hit of the day. Gina Camerotta walked for Belchertown (1-3).
Southwick 17, South Hadley 5 (5) — Belle McCallum and Sarah Bisson had hits for the Tigers (0-3).
Chicopee Comp 16, Amherst Regional 6 — Dominic MacDonald had a goal and two assists for the Hurricanes.
Ty Borrell and Will Borrell each scored twice.
Gabriel Aiken Hafner found the net, and Dimitris Son added an assist for Amherst (1-3, 1-1 Valley).
Connor Bowen saved 12 shots.
Chicopee Comp 11, Amherst 6 — Junior Téa LaRaja scored her 100th career goal Wednesday en route to a three goal performance.
The goal was her second of the day and gave the Hurricanes something to celebrate in the first half. LaRaja’s milestone wasn’t the only reason to celebrate, however, as junior goalie Cleo Hein also reached a milestone, recording her 300th career save later in the half.
“It was exciting for both of them,” Amherst coach Kelly Ziomek said. “They are really good friends off the field and they’ve been playing together since they started. Both of them recognize that it wouldn’t be possible without the team.”
Emily Ireland, Rachel Kawall, and Esme Siegel each added one goal for the Hurricanes (1-3).
Westfield 16, Northampton 5 — Sophie Morini scored twice for the Blue Devils (0-6), while Gabby Adorno stopped 13 shots.
Elly Macdonald, Sophie Morini and Ellie Mahoney each found the net once.
Chicopee Comp 3 Belchertown 0 — Nathan Wright led the Orioles with six kills in a 25-13, 25-18, 25-15 road loss.
Nathan Courchesne added six kills and an assist. Lucas Czarniedki dished 10 assists with two digs for Belchertown (0-8).
Southwick 3, Smith Vocational 0 — Eric Stoltz had four aces in a 25-13, 25-12, 26-24 loss.
Aman Ruhe added six digs, two kills and a block. Tyler Top had three digs, two kills and two blocks.
