Ayame Yazawa and Ching-Ching Huang won at first doubles to power the Mount Holyoke tennis team past Smith, 9-0, Tuesday in South Hadley.

Yazawa and Huang then took victories at first and second singles, respectively, for the Lyons (11-9, 4-4 NEWMAC).

The Pioneers (1-12, 1-7) closed their season.

Softball

Springfield 13, Smith 0 (5); Springfield 8, Smith 1 โ€” Feeney and Grant each had one hit in Game 1, while Lee had two in Game 2 for the Pioneers (7-25-1, 1-17 NEWMAC), who closed their conference schedule at home.

Baseball

Trinity 10, Amherst 5 โ€” Stephen Burke was 3-for-5, while Chase Henley and Kyler Kopacz (RBI, two runs) each had two hits for the visiting Mammoths (14-11).

Menโ€™s golf

Little Three Championships โ€” Amherst beat Wesleyan, 12-0, and tied Williston 6-6, in the regular-season finale at The Ledges Golf Club.

The Mammoths trailed 3-1 against Williams entering singles action, but won five matches to tie for the championship.
