EASTHAMPTON — Daniel Perras, 55, of 30 Briggs St., was arrested on Tuesday morning on two drug-related charges.

At approximately 7:57 a.m., Easthampton police and the Northwestern District Attorney’s Anti-Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at Perras’ residence, according to a post on the Easthampton police Facebook.

The warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into the illicit sale of narcotics in Easthampton, according to police.

Investigators seized drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials, 400 bags of heroin, marijuana and $16,287 believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales, police said.

Perras is charged with possession with intent to distribute a class A drug, and possession with intent to distribute a class D drug.

Perras was arraigned Tuesday morning in Northampton District Court. Bail was set at $5,000.
