The South Hadley girls track & field team won the MSTCA Dr. George Steele Relays, Saturday at West Springfield.

The Tigers won six events and finished with 79 points. East Longmeadow was second with 65½. Northampton was third (57) and Amherst Regional fourth (37).

Belle Alcaraz, Emma Rahilly, Kayla Carleton and Paige Marjanski won the 4×200-meter relay in 1 minutes, 53.11 seconds.

Maddie Doolittle, Farrell Dawson, Lindsay Marjanski and Jocelyne Rondeau were first (4:14.31) in the 4×400. Northampton was second (4:23.06).

Rondeau, the Marjanski sisters and Dawson took first (4:19.72) in the 1600 sprint medley. Amherst was second (4:25.61).

Rahilly, Doolittle, Melanie Hurley and Allie Laporte took home the 4×100 shuttle hurdles in 1:12.11 for the Tigers. Northampton was second (1:13.50).

South Hadley also took first in the high jump (14 feet, seven inches) and triple jump (98-1¾).

Amherst Regional’s team of Maddie Shea, Eliza Dole, Zada Forde and Sophia Jacobs-Townsley won the 4×800 (10:19.87). Northampton was second in 10:21.54.

Isabela Shepard, Danielle Beason, Julia Hopley and Jacobs-Townsley were first (13:00.33) in the distance medley.

Northampton won the 4×1600 relay in 23:03.77 behind Peyton Pettiford-Rowan, Naomi Andrew, Rose Ingmann and Mary Yount. Amherst was second (23:31.97).

Hampshire Regional was second (54.15) in the 4×100 to East Longmeadow (53.52). The Raiders were also second (45-11¾) to the Spartans (46-11¼) in the long jump.

Frontier Regional won the discus (231-5) and the javelin (232-5).

Shrewsbury won the boys championships with 101 points. Longmeadow was third (83) followed by Northampton (51), West Springfield (44) and Amherst Regional (38).

Amherst’s Kai Bailin, Beckett White, Darius Robinson and Junior Pontes da Vega won the 4×100 in 45.06.

The Hurricanes’ 4×1600 team of Shawn Towse, Willem Goff, Aiden Shea and Jack Yanko won in 19:05.28. Northampton was second in 19:13.4.

Shea, Bailin, Goff and Yanko took first (11:17.24) in the distance medley in front of Northampton (11:20.15).

Northampton won the 4×400 in 3:30.04 behind Cole Lavalle, Tucker Quinlan, Ben Gorden Sniffen and Ethan Cooper.

Northampton was second in the 4×200 (1:38.18) behind Shrewsbury (1:37.97).

Gorden Sniffen, Lavalle, Quinlan and Cooper won the 1600 sprint medley in 3:35.1.

Frontier won the pole vault (32-0).

Girls lacrosse

Brattleboro Union 23, Amherst Regional 3 — Rachel Kawall netted three goals and Cleo Hein had six saves for the visiting Hurricanes (2-5), Saturday.

Chicopee Comp 13, St. Mary’s 4 — Skylar Duda scored three goals and Samantha Moran added one, but the Saints (1-7) fell on the road, Saturday.

April Warner made 11 saves in defeat.

Baseball

West Springfield 9, Northampton 3 — Noah Brink went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and Patrick Serio had a two-run single, but the Blue Devils (2-6) fell at Mittineague Park on Saturday.

Freshman Jack Kelleher-Mochak made his varsity debut in relief and struck out four over 2⅔ innings with one earned run.
