Elly MacDonald scored five goals and added an assist as the Northampton girls lacrosse team beat Monson, 14-7, on Wednesday for their first win of the year.
Jett DuVal found the net three times. Shea Crowther and Sophie Morini had two goals each for host Northampton (1-8).
Kate Sullivan and Julienne Lussier each added a goal, and Gabby Adorno saved eight shots.
Pope Francis 15, South Hadley 11 โ Hunter Carey and Liam Dawson (two assists) each scored three times for the Tigers. Mike Senecal had two goals. Shawn Mitchell had a goal, while Hunter Borowski added an assist for South Hadley (2-4, 0-2 Valley Wheel).

Agawam 6, Amherst 5 โ Ty Borrell (two assists) and Dominic MacDonald (assist) scored two goals each for the Hurricanes in a road loss.
Amherst (1-6, 1-3 Valley) rallied from a 4-1 halftime deficit with three goals in the third quarter.
