ORANGE – A 19-year-old Concord man was arraigned in Orange District Court today in connection with a May 4 accident on Route 63 in Erving that killed a Hinsdale, N.H., man.
Andrej Oljaca is charged with motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, leaving the scene of personal injury and death, leaving the scene of property damage, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, use of a motor vehicle without authority, and a marked lanes violation for the accident that ended the life of Phillip A. Reed, 68.
According to Mary Carey, a spokeswoman for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, Judge David Ross set bail at $10,000 with the condition that Oljaca not drive. The state had requested $50,000 cash bail combined with conditions that the defendant wear a GPS monitor, refrain from driving, and abide by a curfew of 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Oljaca is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing on June 28.
