NORTHAMPTON – Temperatures are predicted to be in the upper 40 degrees in Northampton, which would break the record lowest maximum temperature for May 14, according to the National Weather Service.
“It’s pretty close to the record low maximum,” Kevin Cadima, a meterologist for NWS said. The record low maximum for today is 50 degrees, Cadima said, with the closest climate site at Bradley International Airport.
In 2018, the high was 58 degrees; in 2017, 54 degrees; in 2016, 71 degrees.
“Normal” for this time of year would be around 70 degrees, Cadima said, and temperatures are not predicted to reach that high this week.
Wednesday is predicted to be around 60 degrees, Thursday mid-60 degrees, and Friday mid-60 degrees again, according to Cadima.
