AMHERST — A woman already arrested once for breaking into a downtown restaurant, and issued a trespass notice from the business after allegedly continuing to cause trouble there, was taken into custody at the location again on Thursday night.
Maria A. Myers, 23, who gave her address as 434 North Pleasant St., the Craig’s Place homeless shelter, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. at the entrance to High Horse, 24 North Pleasant St., on a charge of trespassing, according to Amherst Police.
Myers was allegedly sitting on the front stoop near the restaurant’s main entrance at the time of her arrest.
Previously, Myers was arrested May 6 at 2:27 a.m. when she allegedly used a patio chair to smash a window at the business and get inside. She was arrested on charges of breaking and entering during the nighttime to commit a felony and vandalizing property
She was also encountered on the evening of May 7, when she allegedly smashed the bar’s sign with a shovel and took off on foot, and then went to a South Amherst bar, where she caused a scene. Management at both bars issued her a trespass notice.
