Recently I was out looking for a homeless camp we had gotten a tip on. The person who sent the tip in said the site was a mess, with garbage everywhere and tents that looked abandoned and in shambles. We did not find that place, but I did find a spot off the rail trail with one tent and this “vase” of flowers. The spot was tidy and well-tended. I couldn’t help taking this photograph of how someone made a tent and spot of land into a home.
