Don’t clear your yard of tall grass! Bryna Greenspan’s recommendation is one of the worst things you could do for the environment. (“Beware the tall grass,” June 4.) Yes, ticks are dangerous and we must take care.
But tall grass is extremely important to all manner of creatures, including those that eat ticks. While not as helpful as trees, letting the lawn grow fights climate change too. Cover up, put on bug lotion, and do a tick check every night. But let nature grow!
