My heart goes out to the Jolly family, who have owned and managed Rafters Sports Bar and The Pub for a few decades. (“Rafters closes to make way for pot shop,” June 6)
They have been fantastic business owners providing jobs, holding and participating in community fundraisers, participating in local events and supporting their neighborhoods. This is how you thank them?
Shame on you, Amherst! I hope you enjoy your new row of pot dispensaries and high-rise “apartment” buildings. Let’s see those businesses support the BID, Taste of Amherst, have magic night on Wednesdays or raise money for cancer research by running, walking or shaving their heads. Shame on you.
