After reading the front page story on June 1 about the workplace shooting in Virginia Beach that left 12 dead, it was jarring to see the political cartoon chosen for the opinion page in the same issue (“Trump and I deal with staff differently…”).
Running a cartoon where the “punchline” is to open fire on staff with a handgun the day after a gunman with two handguns killed 11 city workers is beyond insensitive. The Gazette can do better.
