I applaud the bipartisan efforts of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to create legislation that would ban elected officials from becoming lobbyists for life.
I pray they make good on their commitment to crack down on corruption and close the revolving door between Congress and lucrative lobbying jobs.
It’s about time that our representatives worked across the aisle for meaningful change!
