Sure, Brooke Hauser, I’m a supporter of local news. Since becoming editor you’ve put out the call to subscribe more than once, but I simply can’t do it. (June 15, “This is not a lecture on the importance of supporting local news (but we do appreciate your support.”)
I am a faithful reader. Every day I purchase the Gazette on my 6 a.m. morning dog walk. By purchasing it at my local store, I avoid the daily dose of the plastic bag that the distributor insisted my newspaper needed, rain or shine. Yes, that distributor, the one with the gas consuming, carbon monoxide delivery vehicle that replaced the friendly paper carrier who carefully and quietly placed my newspaper on my front step while getting a little needed physical activity. Let me know when subscribing to the paper doesn’t include a subscription to plastic bags and I’m in.
