HADLEY – Police are searching a couple that was allegedly involved in a hit and run.

According to a post on the Hadley Police Department’s Facebook page, the department responded to a crash at 8:26 a.m Tuesday on Route 9 near Greenleaves Drive. The crash involved two vehicles. The driver allegedly at fault, along with their passenger, allegedly fled the scene.

The plates of the at-fault vehicle were found to be stolen although the vehicle itself is not, police said. Of the two people in that vehicle at the time of the crash, one is a white man with a possible arm injury who was the alleged driver and the other is a woman with red hair, police said.

According to police, the couple was last seen behind Hawkins Meadow Apartments in Amherst.

Hadley Police encourage those who see the couple to call 911.

No arrests in the matter have been made at this time and they have yet to be identified, police said.
