HADLEY – The fire department extinguished a small barn fire on Tuesday night.
The fire department responded to the fire on the exterior of a barn at 36 East St. at 9:36 p.m.
Hadley Fire Chief Michael Spanknebel said that the fire was extinguished in, “Maybe 15 minutes if that.”
Spanknebel said that the fire is under investigation, but that there was nothing suspicious about it.
He also said that there wasn’t much damage inside the barn, and that the Amherst Fire Department assisted with its ladder truck.
