While I know that Richard Fein would not personally engage in poisonous political speech, his article (“America: One nation or alienation?,” July 21) decrying divisiveness strains to identify equivalence between speech on the right and left.
In order to do this, he manages to not at all mention the president’s tweets or Fox News. If he had looked at the whole picture, it would be obvious that just one side of the divide is responsible for the horrid speech.
If you want to fix a problem, you have to look at it honestly. He did not.
