GRANBY — Two people were hospitalized following a single-car rollover crash on the West State Street section of Route 202 on Friday morning.

The car’s driver and passenger both sustained injuries and were transported to Baystate Medical Center, according to the Granby Police Department. The car’s two occupants, a man and a woman, were the only people in the car.

The vehicle sustained “substantial damage,” according to Granby Police Sgt. Gary Poehler. Poehler said that he does not know the extent of the two occupants’ injuries at the time, but both were still in the hospital as of Friday at 1 p.m.

Police and ambulances responded to the accident, which occurred near 199 W. State St. at around 6 a.m., as well as South Hadley Fire District 1 ambulances.

Officials are currently investigating the cause of the crash, police said.
