I was shocked and offended to see the nasty cartoon on Aug. 7 in your otherwise excellent newspaper. How could Dave Granlund have come up with such a shameful image of long-living people in our community? Is he completely unaware of the many people in their third act of life, doing so many good things and living a life of joy and giving?
I have just started a blog called 3rdact.edublogs.org describing some of the wonderful things that we in the third act of our lives are contributing to our society. Our plan is to help people to find the resources to do so themselves.
