NORTHAMPTON — Police responded to reports of at least two people stabbed in an altercation outside of Platform Sports Bar early Saturday morning.
According to a post on the Police Department’s Facebook page, officers arrived at the Depot parking lot at 125 Pleasant St. around 1:28 a.m. in response to reports of a large disturbance, along with other reports of two stabbing victims at the scene.
An initial investigation showed that “multiple victims had puncture and/or laceration wounds sustained during an altercation,” according to police.
Two people were taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for serious injuries, and one other was taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital for less serious injuries, police said.
The incident is under investigation by Northampton police detectives along with the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office. The Easthampton Police Department and state police responded to the scene to assist.
