Team Police Chiefs extends its sincerest thanks to the community members who have supported our efforts in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk thus far.
Your local police chiefs will be lacing up their sneakers and hitting the pavement this September. Sunderland Chief Erik Demetropoulos, South Hadley Chief Jennifer Gundersen and Pelham Chief Gary Thomann will be walking to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and every patient and caregiver impacted by cancer.
We invite you to join our community members by registering with Team Police Chiefs. Or, you can start your own team with friends and family! If you canโt make the Jimmy Fund Walk but would like to participate by making a donation, visit www.JimmyFundWalk.org.
The Jimmy Fund has been the primary charity of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association since 1953. This year, weโve teamed up with police chiefs from all over the state in efforts to raise $125,000 toward cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care happening at Dana-Farber.
Our team will be joining an expected 9,000 participants on Sept. 22 at the 31st annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. The walk raises the most money of any single-day walk in the country โ raising over $135 million to support adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber.
We hope to see you there!
