NORTHAMPTON — A New York man was arraigned Wednesday afternoon on a raft of firearm, drug and assault charges in Hampshire Superior Court.
The charges stem from a June raid of a Belchertown residence, during which Eli Silverman allegedly pointed a handgun at police.
Silverman 23, of Dobbs Ferry, was arraigned on two charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, along with charges of possessing a firearm and ammunition without an FID card, possession with intent to distribute class B, C and D drugs, and possessing a firearm in a felony.
Silverman pleaded not guilty to the charges. He agreed to be found dangerous, and conditions were placed on his release.
His previously posted $10,000 bail will be transferred from district court.
Police say that marijuana plants, cannabis extract, marijuana edibles, LSD and mushrooms were found at the residence during the June raid.
Silverman will next appear in court on Nov. 20 for a pretrial hearing.
