AMHERST — Thirty-one-year-old Munira Qureshi of Amherst was killed in a three-car crash in Vernon, Connecticut on Friday. 

At around 6:08 p.m, police were called to West Street at Regan Road in Vernon, where Qureshi’s car had crashed into another car driven by Randall Berube, 61, of Ellington, Connecticut, Vernon police said. A third car involved in the crash was driven by Kevin Zorda, 49, of Enfield, Connecticut.

Qureshi, who lived in Colonial Village apartments, was transported from the scene to Rockville Hospital and pronounced dead, police said. Berube suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Hartford Hospital, while Zorda was treated at the scene for minor injuries. 

No charges have been filed, police said.  

The crash remains under investigation by the Vernon Police Accident Reconstructionists with assistance from the Metro Traffic Services Traffic Reconstruction Team.
