Reading Richard Fein’s quibble about whether or not he would deign to call the inhuman facilities used to detain migrants along our southern border “concentration camps,” I was forcibly reminded of the lines from Bob Dylan’s great ballad, “The Lonely Death of Hattie Carrol”:

But you who philosophize disgrace

And criticize all fears
Take the rag away from your face
Now ain’t the time for your tears

It’s time for Mr. Fein to take the rag away from his face so that he might see that what the Trump regime is doing in our name constitutes crimes against humanity. What he does or doesn’t wish to call the facilities where these crimes are perpetrated can be of no real concern to anyone with even a sliver of moral conscience.

They must be shut down.
